I recommend reading Ralph's article in the May 2011 Construction Specifier "Reviewing the Obsolete: Is it time to rebuild architecture education?" It's a distillation of much of what he has been discussing in his Wednesday newsletters reposted here and what he presented at the convention in Philadelphia this year.
