This made me chuckle. I still search for both daily.

A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
There is a rumor going around that I have found God. I think this is unlikely because I have enough difficulty finding my keys, and there is empirical evidence that they exist. -Terry Pratchett, novelist (28 Apr 1948-2015)

Ken, the reason I didn't put this one up is I have empirical evidence that God exists. But I still chuckled at it.

In the early days of my first job (ca. 1992) I read a specification for cast iron sewer pipe calling for hemp rope and oakum at the joints. Perhaps it was a carryover from 1892 or maybe the time of Noah.

Thanks Lynn. I've often wondered what the world would be like if the "rich" were given the opportunity to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal bread to survive for just one day.

Having received that blessing early in life, I think it helped build my perspective on certain things. Actually in my case it was a heating grate, not a bridge, and I thankfully didn't have to steal but still...

It has been a frustrating week such that I am close to curling up in a ball and crying... (Not really, but it has been a very frustrating week.)

So I am looking for humor. I will start with one of my favorite Stephen Wright one liners:

"I went down the street to the 24-hour grocery. When I got there, the guy was locking the front door. I said, ‘Hey, the sign says you’re open 24 hours.’ He said, ‘Yes, but not in a row.'”

Related joke from Erma Bombeck: When asked by her daughter if they had ice, her response was, "Yes, but not frozen."
(I have used the response many a time myself.)
