I am seeing security warnings when logging in, submitting posts, and uploading images. (See below.) I am just getting into this place, which is filled with great info and knowledgeable folk. I would hate to be hacked on account of it.

Could a moderator please change the title of my post to "Security warnings on this forum"? |

The forum software developers went out of business at least 10 years ago, before secure sites were common. I could change the forum software, but it would take time and be difficult for current users to change. I would probably lose all the past postings unless I maintained access to the current forum. I have tried to take the forum secure and it would not work as the links in the software are hard coded to not be secure. Part of what makes this low traffic forum work is the emails send out (if requested) on all postings. Most forum software is designed for high-traffic sites and sending emails on each posting is not workable. The warning you see is your browser warning you. I do not see a possibility of problems for you with this forum. It has been running for over 20 years without a problem for the users. Colin Gilboy Publisher, 4specs.com
