After selling SPECTEXT to Arcom (Avitru, now Deltek) CSRF merged into FIATECH, another non-profit that also may have disappeared.

Construction Sciences Research Foundation was CSI's first foundation. It was initially funded by a grant from Bechtel. It produced a Stanford report CONstrustion COMmunications (CONCOM) in the 1960s that predicted much of what we see in design and construction technology today. CSRF was responsible for producing SPECTEXT, the first commercial master spec written by Wayne Watson. CSI, for technical review, retained the rights to distribute paper copy. SPECTEXT was offered electronically hosted on a mainframe computer in 1978.
