So the design team has decided they'd like to paint some existing wall tile. It's a budget project, so I understand the motivation, but everything about it screams "no" to me. The internet seems to think it's an OK idea and there are primers marked for the purpose, but most of the images appear to be DIY residential applications. Anyone here have any experience painting tile in a commercial application? |

John. Years ago I specified a coating system for glazed tile. However, unless things have changed, the system I specified was so high in VOCs, only the painters, in full PAPR respirators and suites, were allowed in the building during the coating process. I suggest you contact your commercial coating reps (SW or PPG.) |
