Do you find a two-part polyaspartic coating a little overkill for concrete floors in service areas like electrical closets, janitor closets, mechanical rooms? The manufacturer recommends it for airplane hangars, commercial kitchens, kennels, and for high traffic areas, and where chemical resistance is needed.

Just curious on your all thoughts. Thank you!

A new first thing to get "value-engineered" and maybe it should be.

At that point you might as well consider PMMA.

My two cents is that each space may need something different: electrical closets don't need a finish - maybe just a sealer; janitorial spaces need something that withstands strong cleaners in case of spills; and mechanical rooms may need a waterproof coating depending on what's in them - in case equipment leaks (and I assume there are floor drains).
