Are there standards for fabrication/installation tolerances for handrails anywhere? I had a past project where the handrail distance from wall and floor varied over the length of the handrail and I want to limit that issue in the specs for the next project.

Masterspec and even United Facilities Guide Specs state only "true to line and level", which seems to leave a lot of interpretation.
