OK this is a new one for me. Client wants a golf simulator room in the apartment amenities. I am not a golfer. They have provided me with the desired vendor's "specs", and now I need to create the Specification. Checked MasterFormat for the correct number, and closest I can come is 11 67 53 for Game Room Equipment. Looks like a Video game to me. Am I close? Suggestions? |

I think this would be closer to a home movie/entertainment room - a big screen would be part of it, right? |

Yes, it includes a big screen, projector, camera and "simulator floor?". kinda like one of those WI games using wands the kids play for bowling or tennis. got the info to spec it (kinda) just want to get it in the right place in the Project Manual. :-) |

Hi Margaret - I think you are in the right area, 11 67 53 - Game Room Equipment. But I usually add a suffix when MasterFormat doesn't have exactly what I need. So I would use 11 67 53.26 - Golf Simulator. I hope that helps. |

I have an 11 5000 section that is basically an equipment list with Part 1 submittals, and Part 3 "Install per manufacture's recomendations." Great option when a full spec makes little sense. |

Thanks Brian, but as a non-golfer I don't see the golf simulator as educational or scientific equipment. You golfers may disagree, but I think I'll stick to 11 67 53 range. |

Actually, my section is 11 2000 - Commercial Equipment" but the number doesn't really matter, the larger point I was trying to make was I have found a more generic section that can handle multiple products useful for random items rather than dedicated sections where it makes sense. Glad you got it figuered out. |

I did a golf simulator section about six years ago, and I created a Level 3 section number and title in the 11 67 XX area: 11 67 27 - Golf Simulators. Ron Geren, FCSI Lifetime Member, AIA, CCS, CCCA, CSC, SCIP
