Looking for information on specifying fire protection requirements during construction activities, specifically procedures for keeping fire protection devices in operation while modifications are being performed. Fox example, I'm aware that there is a need to cover smoke detectors temporarily to keep them from accidently activating per NFPA. Any other issues?
Also, I came across a reference to NFPA 241 but not sure what conditions it covers.

IBC & IFC Chapter 33.

The ones I come across most often in college buildings that are partially occupied during construction are maintaining egress, the need for temporary walls to be non-combustible in type I & II construction, and to turn up sprinkler heads in rooms where ceilings are removed during construction.
