Anyone have a spec for a ceiling mounted service column? Like this: https://www.amico.com/products/headwalls/surgical-applications/ceiling-column-rigid-stationary |

I would not consider it ceiling mounted. There should be a structure above the ceiling plane to support the unit. Similar to an above ceiling support structure for ceiling hung toilet compartments. The angle shapes accessory in the photo is simply an escutcheon to conceal the opening in the ceiling membrane. Consult with a structural engineer to design the suspended structure. |

Brian, the spec could be similar to the following image which I include in Section 11 7000 - Healthcare Equipment. The support for the column would be Unistrut type medical equipment supports specified in Div. 05 and use delegated design for coordination of the equipment with the supports.
