in MSpec 013300 "Submittal Procedures", under 'processing time', the section includes (and has included for years) "intermediate review" in addition to, and between, initial review and resubmittal review.
I have been looking for an explanation of what an "intermediate review" is and have come up empty-handed thus far.

Also, I was a project architect for 15 years and am unable to think of a time 'intermediate submittal' came up on a project or was something I requested from a contractor - unless we called it by another name in the office.

So I wanted to ask here to see if anyone has sources for information or readings to suggest.

Thanks.

Well, in the design-build world, I often get "progress submittals", such as for curtainwall and exterior metal stud design......

Thanks Nathan. Understand progress submittals during design/build.

What's strange to me is that there seems to be no definition of what an "intermediate review" is - or what it would be for - in a project's submittal process.
