I started with a new firm recently and we are looking at several spec software options moving forward. Is there anyone here that could speak to authoring MEP sections in Speclink? I have 9 years of architectural experience, but our Engineers are hoping to get some MEP feedback as part of the decision process. A post here or contact information would be great. |

I've been using SpecLink Cloud and have been finding many of our independent MEP consultants have starting to use it. I've even supplied them with project preformatted sections. Depending on the project size it does just fine. When more custom sections are needed those word files are easily imported. I believe that Masterspec is too wordy, and Speclink is direct and to the point. It really follows the KISS method. When I get MS sections from the engineers, there is a strong tendency to be incompletely edited by even the best firms. The project engineers are focused on the drawings and calcs, not specs. The speed and interconnectivity between sections make it worthwile. It does have Revit tools. |
