In what section do you specify thermal girts (Cascadia clips, Green girts)?

I have specified them in thermal insulation or fiber cement siding or metal wall siding and maybe a few other exterior cladding sections.

David,

How about current MasterFormat listing of 07 05 43 - Cladding Support Systems? Then the sixth digit (or 4th pair of numbers) can be used to differentiate between thermally broken and non-thermally broken versions.

I usually specified in the same section as the cladding because the AHJ I would work with viewed them as a system, so it was easy to show and get approved having it all under the same section.

David,
We have been putting them in 077700 Wall Cladding Support Systems. It's easier to manage when your design team changes cladding systems or has more than one type.

I have a wall cladding support section in a new section that we carry in 070543. I only specify the thermally broken systems there -- the typical support systems are carried in division 05. Most of our cladding products do not come with their own support systems, so I do separate them out. (and we can also adjust the size to take into account the exterior insulation thickness)
