I am issuing a bid package for Furniture, Furnishings and Equipment. The Interior Designer wants to use AIA A151 and A251, but also wants to modify the documents to replace "Architect" with "Interior Designer". Do any of you know if ASID Commercial contracts have more appropriate documents for this situation? Thank you. |

Don't know about any ASID documents, but what Designer wants to do will violate the AIA copyright on its documents and could cause legal problems. |

Point well-taken, Ralph. I should have mentioned that the modification would be via Supplementary Conditions rather than actually modifying the original. |

If the interior designer has legally purchased the AIA software, why would this be a violation of their copyright? |
