On the Certificate of Substantial Completion form there is a line "Project or Designated Portion Shall Include". Typically, what should be included?

I use it to describe the scope of work (portion of project) being accepted as substantially complete and ready for Owner's benefical use and occupancy.

An example would be:
"First floor garage and public spaces, second floor outdoor public spaces, 140 housing units on second through fifth floors, and all street level exterior improvements."

This is especially useful on projects with phased delivery. It allows you to delinate exactly what is being accepted at this time.

Hope that helps.
