Is anyone familiar with a central control system that would allow access to individual lockers in a bank of lockers? A client claims to have seen such a feature but won't say where they saw it. (e.g. the user would swipe or present a credential and it opens/unlocks an un occupied locker)

Curt,

The brand I have specified the most is:
LOCKING HANDLE: PREP FOR DIGILOCK STS-691-01-21 WITH THE FOLLOWING ACCESSORIES:
a. ONE PROGRAMMING KEY: 01-PKPJ1-01.
b. THREE MANAGERS KEYS: 01-MRGPJ-01.
c. USER INSTRUCTION LABELS: 89-LBLTT-01. ONE LABEL PER LOCK.

They're called RFID - Radio frequency identification locks.

I'm familiar with the individual locks for a specific locker. This is a centralized system that remotely unlocks a given locker.

We won't get into how over the top this seems for the application...

Digilock has that capability. From the Digilock website:

"In shared use functionality, the user chooses any available locker and presents any RFID card to lock and unlock. Once unlocked, the locker is available for a different user. Management staff operates the lock with either the Programming Key unique to the lock system, or any registered Manager Bypass Key. In shared use functionality, the locks have a red LED usage indicator"

Maybe this is what they are referring to? http://www.tiburonlockers.com/storage-solutions/electronic-lockers.php

Saw them at Universal Studios in Orlando.

Oops, Lynn - I missed your response. That may just be what we need. Thanks.
