Exterior Venetian Plaster

It was defined as Venetian Plaster for exterior applications. Has anyone specified this product previously or is willing to share their spec on it? Traditionally it was a decoratively painted lime plaster containing polishing soap for shininess. It's cheaper than scagliola. Lime plaster has traditionally been used on the exterior, but I think the soap content might be an additional disadvantage. Lime plaster, the original "stucco" can function on the exterior, but I doubt it will have the durability needed for a high-rise without some long-term protection. The only photo I could find looks like a protected Porte Cochere, not an exterior skin system exposed to the elements let alone a high-rise on the ocean. I've used lots of venetian plaster but I've never used them. Let us know if it works. I'll bet it'll be gorgeous if it stays on the building. Jerome J. It is a low rise and our weather is moderate(very little freezing and lately no rain). Will the exterior Venetian plasters give the smoothest look, other than exterior tiles?
