Currently I'm working on a project and have been asked by the end user about specifying Horton Automatics. This is because the end user has used their products in the past on a few other buildings. Now, I have never specified them before (usually spec Besam or Record-USA). The project would call for 5 bi-parting entrances with full breakout, flush panic bars, and electronic fail-safe locking. In doing some research, the comparable product to the Record 5100 or Besam SL500 would be the Horton ProSlide 2003 Belt Drive. Should I go ahead and spec the Horton product? Or, should I stick with what I would usually spec? |

Both Horton and Stanley manufacturer excellent products for your application. I have never heard of Record-USA; probably because there is no installer in my area. |

Thanks for the feedback. I went ahead and spec'd them after your feedback and my own research. I found them very easy to work with and were competitive on cost. |
