Has anyone used this as a sealer for concrete? This particular application is for concrete stairs and seating risers in a rodeo/event arena. It is anticipated that spilled beverages might sit for a up to a week before being cleaned.

How is a Room Temperature Vulcanizing silicone used on concrete stairs and seating riser?

Is there an associated brand name?

Funny, but the last thing I associate silicone with is abrasion resistance.

Same question as Wayne.

Not that I recall, but you might consider the misleadingly-named "Professional Water Sealant" by Professional Products of Kansas. It's a penetrating waterproofing of silicone rubber dissolved in solvent (with multiple applications, it will form a visible coating). I specified it years ago for application to the concealed wood framing and plywood substrate of the boards around a shopping mall ice skating rink, where moisture was a constant problem.

In addition to PPK, Lifeguard, Tnemec and ProSoCo also have products described as silicone-RTV, or emulsion. I have spec'd PPK for graffiti use, based on past/specific request.

The product that was submitted is the PPK product. For those that have used it - any problems?

I'm not familiar with PPK. Isn't that the Walther that James Bond used?

I thought Tnemec Dur-A-Pell (http://www.tnemec.com/product/view/Series-V626-DurAPellGS) is only for vertical surfaces. Not walking surfaces. Prosoco Blok-Guard specifically says that it's not recommended for horizontal surfaces in their PDS.

Do either of them have other silicone based products for horizontal, traffic-bearing surfaces?
