A couple of years ago, we had a discussion on this forum about the wood veneer composite exterior panel and the results were mixed -- at best. (I have seen some pretty bad examples of water damage, fading, and discoloration). I've got some interest in the office here using the wood veneer panels, and before I say "not on your life", I wanted to check to see if the results are better than they used to be. Have these gotten more reliable, and better performing over the past couple of years? |

According to both, they have reformulated their systems as a result of the failures both have experienced in the past. I have yet to see a weathered installation of the 'new, better' products.
I want to believe it, just not sure I do. |

We have a Parklex installation that's been up about 8 months now, which means it's been though one Northern California winter. I haven't heard of any issues and it appears to be holding up well so far. It's walking distance from our office, so I could email you some current photos if it would help. |

thanks. I think the idea of using these panels has gone away... but I'll keep you in mind if it comes up again. |
