Has anyone heard of or used Metal Resources? That area a producer of cold formed metal framing (054000) in the Chicago area. I swear that every job in the office has a different stud provided that I have never heard of! |

Unless you are designing your metal studs around a proprietary product there is no need to specify the stud manufacturer. Most metal stud products can be specified generically.
If you had delegated the design of metal stud walls to the contractor your review of there proposal would be limited to the generic criteria in the specifications. What criteria will you use to evaluate the metal stud manufacturer? |
