Gypcrete Substitution

The GC wants to use a product called AccuQuiet manuf by Allied Custom Gypsum, stats look similar, has anyone used or specified this product, how does it rate compared to Gypcrete. Honestly we don't specify Gypcrete much, most f our projects have concrete floor slabs. And gyp might soften if it absorbs moisture. But gyp weighs less, has better fire resistance, and can work with radiant heating systems. It also may have slightly better acoustical properties, which may be why you are using gyp. Anyway, some properties to look for in evaluating the substitution request. Incidentally, Maxxon's data sheets don't say acoustical properties for either group of products as far as I can see.
