Any suggestions for insulated roofing system for over sloped steel truss roof system with proposed clay tile roof cladding? Thinking that SIPS panels in a south Florida high humidity environment are not appropriate. Can SIPS panels be designed for high humidity environment?

Of course they can! You just need to place the vapor retarder at the correct plane - which would be outside the envelope for Florida... Just use a peel and stick over the SIPs, slap the tile cladding over the top, and you are good to go.

Make sure that's high temperature 'peel & stick', preferably butyl rubber instead of rubberized asphalt. Learned that the hard way.

Glad that you're going with clay tile. Use the right fasteners!

No slapping the tile on guys, you need to specify according to the approved NOA, found at http://www.miamidade.gov/building/pc-search_app.asp

We did a project in south Florida after Andrew and we were required to both mortar and nail the clay tiles. That was fun for the installer.
