The 2-year term is a carry-over from several roofing manufacturer warranty terms and conditions that tied the installing subcontractor into a workmanship warranty. Haven't really pushed for a longer warranty term from a contractor or subcontractor. John T. If the flashing is prefinished then the material (finish) itself will have an extended warranty but not the flashing system as a whole.
