The LEED consultant for the project that I am working on has provided edits for the project specifications in which he would like to add the LEED section from Division 01 as a related section in every technical section. As Division 01 sections, are they not already related sections as Division 01 applies to all of the technical sections. Is it redundant to include this in the technical sections anyway? |

Following a hardcore stance with CSI's principle of "Say it once and in the right place," yes it would be redundant. However, I've seen many sections that identify the submittal procedures section in the submittals article of evey section. Not every section has an impact on LEED or LEED requirements. Repeating it in every section, in my opinion, makes it unremarkable and is ignored. As a compromise, follow the submittals example above and reference the LEED section when LEED requirements are indicated within a particular section.
