I am specifying a couple of aluminum metal walk ramps used to access the back of a moving truck. We are using them for some low slop internal ramps, for of course a moving company. Any suggestions on where to put this? 05511x seems as likely a place as any. Russ Hinkle |

If portable, and a standard manufactured item, I agree that 11 13 23 is appropriate. If custom fabricated and fixed, I would put it in with other metal fabrications. If you want it it its own section, then you could use 05 51 36 Metal Walkways as an option. |

I am thinking of one I saw almost every day at the University of Hawaii. It was aluminum and used as a ramp up between 8 and 10 feet to the first floor of an old classroom building. It really had more in common with an aluminum bleacher structure and I belive some of those guys offer such products. If that is so, I would put it in Division 13. This would be for fixed or "permanent" construction. |
