Does anyone know of such a product? I have seen the Johnson Hardware design for a pull. It's a little clunky but ok.

As for an accessible privacy latch, I have not found anything. I appreciate any advice 4specs can provide on this small but important item.

David,

http://www.fsb.de/static/sites/fsbna/en/content/downloads/fsb-05-slidingdoor.pdf

The above link will bring up a pdf of a catalog from FSB that on pages 39, 40, 41 and 42 there are photographs and drawings and a technical description of the operation of accessible sliding door lock. There are a couple different models and there are numbers functions from passage to fully locked.

And though the link has a "de" for Germany, this is the US catalog.

NOTE: They actually use the term ADA Compliant Sliding Door Lock, and indeed, it is certified as ADA Compliant. May actually be the only one out there. Some imply that they are acceptable, and may be in some locations, but this is totally ADA Compliant.

I have used it in several projects. Its not inexpensive, has a number of different handle trim stiles available.

Trimco (Triangle Brass) makes an ADA pocket pull in both a passage and privacy version. 1069 - but the link was broken on their website when I just checked.

Professional courtesy precludes me from using the word "clunky" when describing a competitor's product, of course (judge for yourself), but it does have the advantage of being from a US company.

I went directly to the product number index and found the images.
