Curious if anyone knows much about SFIA? I noticed ClarkDietrich now has the SFIA logo on their website and not SFIA.

Actually, there is also Steel Framing Alliance http://www.steelframing.org/index.php. SSMA links to the Steel Framing Alliance but not to Steel Framing Association. I don't know if that is intentional or not.

What bothers me is that Steel Framing Association seems to be organized by ClarkDietrich and their collaborators. Steel Framing Alliance seems to be an association with the other players as well as many Installer firms.

Apparently there is a group of Architects and Engineers who have taken matters into their own hands. The Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute can be found at http://www.cfsei.org/index.html. They happen to include a set of PDF details on their website from Steel Framing Alliance and are linked from the SSMA website as well.

Not sure what all this means except that our waters seem to be getting muddier by the minute.
