I've currently gotten into a few projects where I have to read a LOT of background information (hundreds of pages worth) and found that Amazon has a new app called "Send to Kindle" that becomes part of your "file" menu in word. It won't send every type of file format -- it can't handle excel spreadsheets, for example -- but word docs, PDFS, and other formats like that are easily uploaded. I haven't joined the Apple iPad revolution yet -- although our office is migrating in that direction -- and for large documents, I hate to mess around with my computer, laptop computer, or print them out. The Kindle Fire is a nice little tablet for this application. (and I just thought I was saving bookshelf space at home) |

I've sent many documents to my Kindle (Kindle 3, not the Fire), using the email address every Kindle owner recieves. It's very handy, and pleasurable to read from. What I am reading is seldom that pleasurable, but you get my meaning I'm sure. |
