Is anyone using Nitro PDF Software "Nitro Pro"?

How does it compare to Adobe Acrobat Professional?

What other less expensive PDF software are there than Adobe?

I have found Bluebeam PDF Revu faster & easier, and without the glitches occasionally encountered using Acrobat. Great experience with absolutely no problems over the past year after switching to Bluebeam. I'm not a power user, but believe it compares very favorably to Acrobat Professional functions.

Have never tried Nitro PDF, but after terrible trouble with their disc burning software I have no trust in their product quality.

There are a number of free or low-cost PDF products out there. You might try looking at www.tucows.com for a list (a good source of free software or shareware as well as low cost software). I have used CutePDF along with some of the other "Cute" products previously. Someone at the last SCIP meeting was recommending PDFill products by PlotSoft L.L.C. All of these vary somewhat in terms of what features they support so you may need to try a few products in order to find something that does exactly what you want.

How do I go to a specific drawing in a 175 sheet continuous set of PDF Drawing in Bluebeam? I have a 30 day trial of the program.

Bottom right hand corner will tell you what page you are on (sheet 1 of 175 for example). You can just type into the feild directly and hit enter.

Thanks that was simple enough. I was trying to do it with the mouse. I think that the program is really great and plan to replace all the other PDF programs I have been using for the last few years like Fox-it and Nitro PDF.

It can be done with the mouse also, there are atleast two ways to do it. In the sidebar panel on the right, click the icon with the 4 little squares to display the pages view, then hover over it and scroll up and down with the scroll wheel. Or, in the main document window, you can set up your preferenses to scroll through the pages. Go to Edit>Preferences>Navigation and set your scroll options there. Bluebeam is a superb application. I love the ability to browswe my PDF's graphically, and I have created entire working drawings using the drawing tools, particularly the cut and paste of field selected graphic regions, and layering of comments. Powerfull stuff. Just wish it has OCR and then it would be about perfect.
