Who else is writing their specifications on a Mac?

I'd like to trade automation tips and talk MSWord 2004 v 2008 with you. What cool things have you learned to do with the Mac Automator feature? Do you use third party software for your batch processing? Let me know.

Does Word for the Mac include VBA, as it does for the PC? I've done quite a bit of automation with VBA within Word.

Support for VBA was dropped for the Mac OS X. Visual basic works for macros on a Mac, but Microsoft, in its infinite wisdom, limits its usefulness with every new version. For instance, you may not run macros which use the clipboard feature.
I am always looking for a more efficient way to batch process those macros too. We've tried applescript routines, but they are slower than molasses going uphill on a cold day.

I've asked Arcom a few times to add a feature that would let me use their batch routine, but run my macro in it. Writing a routine to do something on multiple files in VBA is a lot of work--not so much the "something" as the overhead to do the batch routine.

FYI, VBA returns this month with the new update from MS according to Macworld Magazine's website. They also say that the interface will match Office for Windows.

Arcom's Masterworks does not run on the Mac at all, so that's not even an option.

Presumably because of the Mac's lack of support for VBA.
