I just received the sad news, through a specifier in the Chicagoland area, that Dean Walker has passed away. Dean had been in poor health and was in various medical facilities since Thanksgiving. I will post his obituary as soon as I receive it.

Here is an email I received from Jay Ford.
"Dear SCIP members,
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of W. Dean Walker. Dean has been a long time active member of SCIP, CSI, and AIA; and will be missed. Please keep Dean’s family and friends in your thoughts as they go through this difficult time.
There will be a memorial service for Dean held on May 4, 2019, 1:00 p.m. at Flossmoor Community Church, 2218 Hutchison, Rd., Flossmoor, IL.
If you have a story or memory you would like to share with Dean's family please e-mail it to Renee Doktorczyk Renee@ArchiTechSpec.com no later than Tuesday, April 30.
