Pam passed away Sunday, 13 December, from complications of diabetes and a stroke. Her memorial service will be held in Colorado Springs at 2:00 p.m. 29 December at First Lutheran Church in Colorado Springs. Donations are being taken in her name for the local Ronald McDonald House, 311 N. Logan St., Colorado Springs CO 80909. I'd appreciate help in writing a biography for Pam. I have some information about her, but nothing about her career in the construction industry, and only a little about her CSI activities. If you recall working with her on CSI committees, or positions she held, or awards she received, please tell me. A copy of her Fellowship nomination package would have most of what I need. |

Sheldon, since I was the one who asked Colin to start the Specifier's Memorial I know damn well that Pam passed away, however I have no knowledge of her, perhaps you've seen me at a CSI national event, doubtful, I've only been to one where I met my friend Dave Metzger, I don't participate in CSI events because my plate is full daily, not with work but with caring for my terminally ill wife who passed after a long battle with cancer and now my mentally ill daughter. I am sorry no one on the board has taken up your request to provide bio info on Pam, if I knew of any such info I would. I've found that talking about death of a fellow professional is sometimes difficult. I never met Stephen Falk, but I was in the midst of several email conversations with him when he apparently passed, and I only found out by a fluke. Sheldon you are going to have to be patient, someone will eventually come to your aid, interrupting my conversations about Meadowlark Lemon is not going to help you with your quest. |

Sheldon, Thank you for posting. It sounds like it's way past nap time in SFL. |

David, you have no idea. I've experienced Sheldon's frustration when I've had past colleagues pass, seems like death remains a forbidden area for discussion even if its goal is to help others. In SFL I seem to be the one Architects call when a spec writer passes, most of the time these Architects want to know if I have access to the dead specifier's files, which of course I never do, many have asked me to reach out to the dead specifier's family; would youlike to hear my response to that one - I tell the architect to grow a pair. Some profession we have, the way specifiers (SFL) are treated is pathetic. None of them are interested in my services as a specifier, unless I can give them a deal based on their predicament. Sorry, I don't use a death for obtaining clients. This is some profession we have, lot's of vultures out there. |

Let's honor Pam's memory in a positive way on this page, shall we? Unfortunately, i didn't know her well but will reach out to some CSI members in Pikes Peak and Denver. |
