I received an email from S Falk this morning that Karen has passed away while being treated for Leukemia. I never had the pleasure of meeting Karen, but we talked many times online and I learned a lot from our discussions. I have not been able to confirm this news yet, so I hope I am wrong, perhaps someone who knew Karen can offer some more information; not a great way to start a week. R.I.P. Karen. |

Jerome - The news you rec'd is correct. There have been e-mails circulating in L.A. area. She passed on April 27. |

I'm so sorry to hear about Karen, too. Could someone please post one or two of the emails circulating, so that I can send my condolences to her family? Any sort of contact information will do. After a successful 6 month battle with T-Cell Lymphoma, including a Stem Cell transplant, it appears Karen, 55, might have been done in by the chemicals that saved her. Liver, Kidney and Spleen failure. It will take a few months apparently before the autopsy report is finished.
As Karen’s partner I enjoyed numerous CSI events … talks, convention, dinners and a number of Golf Tournaments … as well as creating the digital version of CSI LA’s photo album:
