This is for a museum courtyard, so it needs to look great. The plumbing engineer spec'd an ACO K100S 1/2" slot drain, however this seems to need clean-outs which won't look good. Now I'm thinking that a narrow (2") grating is the solution. ACO's gratings are 5'+/-. Who makes a 2" wide removeable grating? Thank you. |

Can't the architect design a narrow slit in the paving with removable panels matching the paving a la Getty Center (if you've had a chance to see - or rather not see the drainage channels in the outdoor public areas)? Your client can also design a custom grate. I know this is expensive, but it's for a museum. |

For very nice solutions, consider http://www.quickdrainusa.com/ Very narrow linear slot drains. Though this system only shows interior applications, the FAQ states that it is fully capable of being installed in exterior locations. William C.
