I was asked to specify a magnetic primer recently, except that I discovered that the VOC content was 400 g/l and included ketones, two things our hospital client have issue with. I found, instead, an additive that can be put into any primer redering the final application magnetic. The additive is simply powdered iron by this company in PA: http://www.lyt.com/servlet/StoreFront We're trying out a test patch in the office to see how it works. hope this helps |

OK, excuse my ignorance but what the heck is magnetic paint and what applications would you use it in? I've never heard of it in Canada eh? Ride it like you stole it!!! |

What I found was a primer with heavy content of iron dust. You can overcoat it and then literally use magnets to hang or mount various items seemingly "on" the wall, $84 a gallon! Made by a magnet manufacturer, they have magnets specifically for this or you can use alomst any flat [refrigerator door] units. |
