Is there a generic guide specification for composite wood for decks and siding? Probably HDPE, maybe LDPE or HDPP. Any thoughts on which is the better material? This was just called in as an add to an existing project, don't have much time for research.

To the best of my knowledge it has lousy screw-holding performance if you try to fasten anything to it.

My research a few years back showed that there were many recipes. Some products use recycled resinous material, some do not; fiber reinforcing varies. I'm not sure you'll be able to spec these products this way as a result.
