Metanna makes Building Integrated PhotoVoltaic (BIPV) thin film technology, which attaches to metal roofing panels without penetrations. Their website (www.metanna.com) has a description of how this differs from crystalline silicon technology. Looks like Metanna sells this product to different metal roof manufacturers. Cool idea! Ha! I specified AEP Span metal roofing. Look at photos: 21/22 and 22/22. The further away you stand, the less noticeable the PV panels become. Let me know if I can help further. In 10 years those panels will be old technology and obsolete.
