I recently got a substitution request for a product called "Rapidflex" manufactured by the Israeli company Pazkar. Not only have I never heard of it, but I can't find anyone local (except the contractor of course) who has heard of it. I didn't approve the substitution, but now I'm curious if anyone has heard of it, used it, or approved it for a project. Here is the web site: http://www.pazkar.co.il/template/default.asp?PageId=46&catId=10&parentId=22&maincat=2 |

Anne, Given the lack of U.S. test data - ASTM, ICC ES Report (they only referenced ICC Acceptance Criteria), etc., I think you did the right thing by rejecting it. It would need to have a proven track record in the U.S. before I would accept it. I would also check with your regular waterproofing people like W.R. Grace or whoever you specified to see if they've heard of them |
