I am currently preparing specs for a project that is using wood veneer composite wall panels on part of the exterior.

We have never used these panels before (we do a lot of Long Term Care, seniors housing & schools so lots of bricks & mortar and metal/cement fibre siding) so we do not have an office master for anything like this.

I know there has been some discussion about these products in the past (based on a search I did) and it appears some of you have used these products.

I have found all the technical information on manufacturer's websites and through distributors in our area, but there seems to be a gaping hole in the manufacturer's standard specifications area.

Question is, does anyone have a spec section they would be willing to share?

You can contact me at pauldgerber@hotmail.com if you do.

Thanks in advance...and happy specifying!

Thanks Lynn!! You and another member (discretion asked and given) have been so quick and kind as to help out a relative newcomer to the "family"! (that has been the impression I have gotten from the forum since I found it)...I am assuming there is a delay in cyberspace delivery as it hasn't arrived as of yet.

Your and my nameless benefactor's generosity is very much appreciated!

If I can return the favor (I even spelled it "right" for you guys), please don't hesitate to ask!!

Aw, shucks...we're just that kind of regular folks here in the southland...(Wisconsin in my case)

Hmmm. Let me know when you receive it. I had an earlier problem with sending an email this week.
I copied your eddress from your post above, so that should be correct.

LOL @ southland!!

If you are anywhere north of Milwaukee, you are probably at a higher latitude than I am!!

Still nothing, btw...I have even been checking my Junk Mail folder. But I will reply to your e-mail once I receive it!

As far as I am concerned, I-10 is the Mason-Dixon line. I lived 4 years in Atlanta and never want to live that far north again; had to move to Hawaii to get far enough south before coming back to Houston 19 years later.

My husband's from the U.P. (Upper Peninsula of Michigan, which is really connected to Wisconsin - but that's another story). He jokes that there are snowbirds living there who head south for the winter - to Milwaukee. He also responds to the question "What do you do in the summer in the U.P?" with "Well, when it falls on a weekend, we have a picnic."

I'm living as far north as I want to right now - and I really love San Antonio.

Paul, I sent off the spec this morning (again) and got a return receipt that said it had been "relayed via mx2.hotmail.com"...but that's all...

Colin, can you figure out what's going on? Is there any other way I can get the spec to Paul?

um Lynn... the "the Southland" is the local news station's term for LA/Orange counties. -- which IS south of I-10. (I know that's Peter in the unidentified comment up there)

Ahh! Thanks for clearing that up Anne. I had forgotten my southern CA freeways and geography. It has been over 30 years since I lived there, so maybe I can be forgiven for the confusion.
