I need to locate some information for stripping paint on the interior and exterior of a face brick wall. I would like to get an environmentally friendly stripper if possible.

Any suggestions?

Check the MasterSpec section on brick masonry restoration; there are a number of options there. Not sure there are any "envionmentally friendly" products that would be really effective. Strippers are nasty stuff.

Check out: http://www.franmar.com/

Franmar Chemical has a line of soy based strippers that can be used on anything from furniture restoration to concrete floors. I used it successfully on a historic restoration project involving several architectural elements such as cornices and painted architectural woodwork and specialty hardware. I've also used it personally around the house.

Prosoco might have products, but these other 2 I'm pretty sure do: Diedrich Technologies, Inc. and American Building Restoration Products, Inc.

Dayton Superior has a soy-based stripper, too, called "green bean clean", also a gel.
