I crossed the International Date Line heading East aboard USS Firedrake (AE14) and the crew was given the choice: two Sundays or two Mondays. You'll never guess which it was.
Yes, the Firedrake was known as the "Flaming Duck," which was not good for an ammunition ship.
We also crossed the Equator but that's another story unsuitable for women and children. |
