Has anyone got a reference for specifying electrostatic painting? We've got to repaint some existing metal shelving and electrostatic seems to be the best approach.

Thanks.

John-
this is one of those things that seems to happen better by handing over the contract to someone who specializes in doing that particular type of work. I've done it a lot, but no office I've worked for actually specifies it as part of the contract -- its always been a separate item that occurs between the Owner/applicator.
you need someone who does this work regularly and is equipped to do so; you want to see samples and get references. I wouldn't go so far as to specify either the paint or the application method; you want them to do the thing you liked in the sample. you may want a mockup or two to review and select from.

John,

Send me an e-mail and I will send you our specification on electrostatic painting. We have specified this process for repainting of school lockers and metal shelving.
