I was asked to put in a proposal for writing specs for a bank tenant improvement project in San Francisco. Is there anything unusual regarding California laws that I should be aware of? Since this is a straight forward TI project I do not anticipate anything unusual but just thought that I would ask. I do not want any rude surprises!

There are significant code changes in the 2013 CBC. You should do a web search for the many lists showing the changes.

CalGreen! Full of all sorts of fun things, like mandatory Irrigation commissioning.

The good news is that now (2013) California follows the federal accessibility standards....mostly.
