Does anyone have a resource for this sort of thing? They'll be an industrial setting, where workers are gowned and need to be able to place personal items into the locker on their way in and take them on their way out - through a separate exit hallway. We'd like to not have to fabricate but to spec and purchase as a standard item. |

Check both healthcare specimen passthroughs and the detention passthrough lockers used to handle firearms at prison sallyports. |

Sentinel does evidence lockers. If you talk to them, they may have options to do what you want. You want the lockers secure on both sides, correct? http://www.tiffinmetal.com/ftp/Sentinel%20Locker%20Files/default.aspx |

As others have noted, there are many options in the healthcare and lab specialty fields. ASI and Bobrick make smaller units and you go (up) from there. Here is one a had bookmarked by random chance: http://terrauniversal.com/products/passthroughs/fireratedpthru.php |

I hadn't thought of the specimen pass-thru for this application, so thanks for that idea, although I think they're too shallow. The architect says it needs to be 32 inches deep. So far, no one makes the size the architect wants, but I've checked out these suggestions and sent him the web sites. The ball's in his court, so thanks. |

Lynn, Please keep us informed. Perhaps you could place 15" or 16" or 18" deep lockers back-to-back and delete the individual locker backs. |

Here's another swag at a source-- http://www.fascosecurityproducts.com/passthru.htm This is for pass-thru evidence lockers, and they mention "package receivers" [also in googgle search!] Most come about 15-18" square and 15-18" deep-- maybe can get them fabbed back to back as Wayne suggested. |

can anyone reach through a 32" deep locker? does the architect have a real reason for that depth? sometimes they get these weird ideas and follow them to illogical conclusions, so I would question that depth first before doing a lot of research. |

Good point! He's agreed to scale back to 24", but I will definitely ask to see the configuration, because even 24" is deep. (Although a couple of the manufacturers above do make them 36" deep, but then they are larger overall) |

Sounds as if it requires an arms-length relationship... |

These type of products are virtually hand-made anyway; I imagine one of the fabricators noted above could combine their hardware and design with some custom work to accomplish what you want. |
