Anyone have any experience with a product called Tri-Chord, a steel stud framing system?

Initial impressions is that the web site has a lot of hype not a lot of detail, requires you to provide contact data to get ICC reports etc.

It is slightly more efficient in the use of metal.

This is a propriatary solution and the stud cannot replace standard studs without checking structural detailing. The large web cutouts and narrow web width can cause detailing problems in some situations.

This product should not be used for load bearing and other structural applications without talking to your structural engineer. What was your engineers reaction?

Thank you. Your initial impressions and mine are in sync. Have not yet consulted structural. The product came about through a third party energy analysis. They said three of the nine wall types failed and then they recommended Tri-Chord. That was the first red flag. So, I figured I would ask. I really didn't want to fill out their registration form. Thanks for the response.
