Lead looking for this product. Understand it has some inherent decorative facing[?] or appearance. Appreciate any hlep or comments. |

Ralph- Use glass reinforced gypsum interior, use glass reinforced concrete exterior. That's always been my rule of thumb, but I am not sure gypsum can't be used on exterior. However, most GRG manufacturer's also make GRC. I am emailing you my most recent GRG specification, see if that helps. By the way, see "09 2700 - Plaster Fabrications" on 4specs for the manufacturers. |

we had some issues with the gfrg (and gfrc) moving around too much on the building and pulling out the fasteners. keep the panel sizes relatively small and reinforce them -- a lot. also make sure you have an experienced fabricator, because in direct sunlight if the section is too thin, they can expand and bow a little bit. there is nothing inherent to the product; it can be cast into a mold to take on various appearances and it may be possible to specify both a face mix (for appearance) and a backup mix (for cost) and have them be different mixes. |
