I know MasterWorks pretty well but need an expert to help me figure out how to properly format a document. My client gave me a document to follow. Thanks.

First thing I would try is assigning MasterSpec style names to the new document and make a .dot template file and then write a macro to attach the template to a file, similar to the following:

Sub GetstylesUMB()
'
' getstylesUMB Macro
' Macro recorded 04/12/16 by DHarris
'
With ActiveDocument
.UpdateStylesOnOpen = True
.AttachedTemplate = _
"C:\Users\dharris\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates\UMBformat.dot"
End With

End Sub

Obviously, change the template location and filename to your own.
Hope this helps.

Perhaps I don't understand the question, since the answer seems simple: I always use the Format Wizard in MasterWorks, which lets you create a client-specific or project-specific format and apply it to each section as it's edited.

Once created, the format is retained by name for future use or modification.

Jeffrey, I have been fooling around with MasterWorks for a while now and can't figure out a few of the features. May I call you to discuss?
Thanks.
