In 15 years on a Mac, I have not had any virus or malware (that made itself known) and no significant problems with the machines except for an occasional "pinwheel of death" when the machine locks-up. Still, my new computer consultant has installed the free version of Malwarebytes. It runs in background. He also installed 1Password to simplify management of all the passwords I have. So far, both are working well. Michael Chusid, RA FCSI CCS 1-818-219-4937 www.chusid.com www.buildingproduct.guru |

I had McAfee for a while and hated it for various reasons. Now with Windows 10, I use the built-in utility Defender, which is free, and works without glitches. However, as with any anti-virus utility, performance slows if you are checking each file as you open it. |
