Do you have any recommendations on adding watermarks ("DRAFT") to multiple Word files or PDF documents? David G. Axt, CCS, CSI, SCIP Specifications Consultant Axt Consulting LLC |

what PDF program do you use? For WORD: To create a watermark using a picture or customised text Click on Page Layout tab. In the ribbon, click on Watermark. A vertical scroll list of six watermarks will appear with a set of menu options below. From the menu options, select Custom Watermark. |

Some of my spec writers won’t do it in Word because they don’t want to touch the content or formatting of MEP/S sections that they don’t author, so we’ve become accustomed to doing it in Bluebeam, which is super fast and easy, with very precise control. |

If you add a watermark in Word, I have used the "WordArt" and used the Layout feature to place it behind the text and in a fixed position on each page (not tied to the text, column, etc). |

I thought that MasterWorks had a batch watermark tool but cannot find it. I can easily insert a watermark in an individual document in Word, but would prefer a batch program to add watermarks to several files. David G. Axt, CCS, CSI, SCIP Specifications Consultant Axt Consulting LLC |

I figured out that Avitru's MasterWorks DOES have a batch watermark tool. Go to "MasterWorks" in the top ribbon. Go to "Multi-File" in "Project Tools" ribbon. Select folder and files. Select "Document Format". Select "Document Layout" under "Standard Formatting". Select "Add "DRAFT" Watermark" in the drop down menu under "Additional Options". To remove the watermark go through the procedure above except: Select "Remove Watermark" in the drop down menu under "Additional Options". David G. Hi David, Adding watermarks, numbered lines, and other Page Layout items is a feature in VisiSpecs. You mentioned in another post that you want to do formatting in MasterWorks... this is another area where VisiSpecs could help. Dip your toe in and see what you think! |
